Leading with Purpose, Integrity and Authenticity
In November, I’ll be speaking on the topic of leading with purpose, integrity, and authenticity at the upcoming Women in Leadership event series themed “Inspiring Change and Empowering Action: Leading an Equitable Future”. This event is designed to provide leaders with practical tools and insights to make a lasting impact in their organisations.
I’ll be drawing on over 20 years of experience delivering major city shaping projects as an engineer and project manager in the UK and Australia for Arup, and more recently as the firm’s Australasia Co-Chair leading a diverse workforce of over 3,000 employees across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Founded by Ove Arup 75 years ago to dedicate the skills and endeavours of its people towards social usefulness, Arup has always been a purpose-driven organisation. I will share insights on how the firm integrates sustainable development into its core mission, as well as the importance of keeping our values and purpose as our North Star while navigating through times of economic uncertainty and large-scale change. I’ll talk about how we encourage and inspire our people to leverage their skills and technical expertise to tackle significant societal challenges, such as the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, and social inequity.
I believe leaders have a critical role to play in fostering a culture of belonging and passion, ensuring that employees feel motivated and empowered to make a positive impact on people’s lives and the planet. I’m excited to share my experiences with the hope of inspiring attendees to lead with integrity and purpose, and drive meaningful change within their organisations and communities.
Join us to learn how leading with authenticity and purpose can help shape a more equitable future. You can find out more about Kate’s session here.
